As the weather starts to heat up in Sydney, I have been taking stock of my summer wardrobe. I hope I am not the only one who declares “I have absolutely nothing to wear, what on earth did I get about in last summer??”

I do actually have a distinct (bad pun warning ahead…)”short-age” of shorts in my wardrobe. The perfect no brainer item for summer, dressed up or down. My sewing journey thus far has included dresses, skirts and tops, but the only pants I have attempted are of the elastic waisted pajama kind, not for wearing outside the confines of the home.
